Apple and Avocado Salad (Classic Salad)

Garden green salad, Apple, Avocado, Walnuts, Alfafa and crumbed Gorgonzala Cheese accomplished with Homemade Italian dressing. The combination of fresh ingredients and some herbs bring the special taste to the bud.

Chef recommended us to have a try with the original pizza before we go for the topping. It is a crispy crust pizza served with Morazella cheese and Tomato paste and accomplished with basil and oregano.

Chicken Whole Leg

Grilled chicken whole leg cooked to perfection with olive, capers, onion, herbs and cream served with potatoes of the day and grilled seasonal vegetables. The chcken is baked in 350oc in oven until the natural fats of the chicken purged out.

Salmon Trout With Rocket Salad (Seafood)

Grilled Norwagian Salmon served with potatoes of the day, seasonal salad, tomatoes, rocket and spicy coulis sauce.

My favourite dish of all. It really taste so awesome especially when the butter-mash potatoes squeezed out together with the snails!!!
This cuisine served the best French snails with unsalted butter and parsley. Imagine the snails were baked together with unsalted butter with mash potatoes that strengthen the aroma of the dish. 

Alio Mussels and Prawns (Spaghetti)

The perfection of dish with green Mussels and fresh sea prawn served with olive and herbs.

Mushroom Risottos (Arborio rice)

This is my first ever Risottos. It served with onion, garlic, English Parsley, Parmesan cheese, button and oyster mushroom and a touch of cream. Arborio rice is a glucose-free rice which also suitable for those who have Diabetes. Basically the rice are only 90% cooked, so you still able to fill there a lil bit hard in the between the rice. So don't be strange if you have the thought of uncooked rice.

No sugar, egg and flour dessert served with the healthier chocolate with Chef's secret recipe. Somehow, you may find it sweet as it was from the chocolate.

Kuala Selangor and Sekinchan

Kuala Selangor is a town located at Selangor, somewhere about 70km from Kuala Lumpur. Kuala Selangor is an old capital of Selangor before moving to Klang, Kuala Lumpur and then Shah Alam. The word 'Kuala' mean rivermouth in Malay language. Moreover, Bukit Melawati is a hill overlooking the Selangor and Strait of Malacca in those days.

We went for our 1-day trip to Kuala Selangor and Sekinchan on the day after Labour Day (Public Holiday). Unfortunately, we missed out lots of attractions as it was Saturday, weekend used to be more crowded than weekdays.

We took around 2.30 hours to reach Kuala Selangor, includes the duration for our breakfast (McDonald) and the duration that we lost somewhere at Selangor as being brought to the wrong location by our Waze (a type of GPS).

When we reached Kuala Selangor Town, there was a ticket counter for train to bring us up to the hill, Bukit Melawati. The train only operated during Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday. However, visitors may drive up to the hill during weekday.

Here are details of tourist train to Bukit Melawati (Hill):

Fares: MYR 5 (adult) and MYR 3 (Children)

Guess what when you get up to the hill??? There are whole bunch of monkeys waiting you to feed them. Don't be afraid!!! They are very kind to human being except human who bring along foods with them. They will tackle you for foods because they are kinda hungry. Best reminder to becareful when you get around with the monkeys. We couln't know if they have been irritated before your approach. For those who wish to feed them, there are few vendors selling monkey's food around Bukit Melawati.
This uncle was very kind to the crowd. Give out some free of charge food to the crowd for them to attract the monkeys and captured the memorable pictures with it. Somehow, we does bought a packed of bananas in return back what he had lost for us.

Such a sunny day for me to sat on the Cannon that facing to the mouth of river. 
 Lighthouse of Kuala Selangor is the landmark and symbolic for the town. It also known as Altingsburg Lighthouse (old Dutch name for Bukit Melawati). It is located inside the Historical Museum of Kuala Selangor district's barrier.

Next, we took the tourist train to Taman Ikan Air Tawar (Freshwater Fish Park). No entrance fee requires. There are not only fish in the freshwater fish park, it also have bunny (rabbit) farm and bird's farm. However,the park was not well preserved and lots of maintenance require to beautify the place.








Sekinchan

The end of our Kuala Selangor's trip around 1.00 pm. Next, we were heading to Sekinchan. Sekinchan is a famous town for the paddy field and also the Fishing village. It is 30 km away from Kuala Selangor. Main rice production located at Serbak Bernam district, which you will see a huge greeny paddy field on your right while you are on the way to this little small town.



We plan to go for lunch first as it was lunch time when we reached Sekinchan town. However, there was a long 'jam' due to event happening at Sekin Resort, a resort just before you reach Redang Beach. 

You can see crowds everywhere even at restaurants. We queued for quite some times for table in a seafood restaurant, end up we leaved without having our lunch as it took 2 hours for the foods to serve on your table. So, if you wish to have seafood in Sekinchan, please don't go at peak hours (Saturday, Sunday and Public holiday). We ended up with no lunch for our trips. 

There are some restaurants that we went ended up with disappointment. It's because of no way for you to have lunch with the big crowds inside the restaurant. 




Inside Restoran Ten Ten Lai, there was a stall selling La La Jian (Fried Oysters in Omelette) with long queue. So we do took part in the queue while waiting for table vacancy. It costs MYR 10 per dish. Regarding the taste, you can felt the glutinous mixture with the Fried Oysters in Omelette and dipped in their special chilli sauce. I would gave 7/10.

Then, we crossed the road to the opposite building with same attempt - Lunch. However, failed again as the restaurant was closed due to lack of ingredients. So, we went to this shop (SY HING-168) selling Hiang Beng, ready-to-eat fish balls and lots of local products.

Our friend bought 1 packet of the ready-to-eat fishballs. It is oval shape look like an egg. It actually was a combination of half-cut boiled egg and fish paste and then being fried. It was sooo yummmy!!! 7 pcs in a packet costs MYR 4.

Next, we do bought freshly-baked Hiang Beng. It was sooo tasty when it was still warm to touch.
9 pcs in a packet costs MYR 7. However, 3 packets costs you only MYR 20.

After that, we proceed to paddy field for some photograph session. You know when it's only girls moment for photograph, it may took 1 hour to finish although just a simple greeny paddy field. Luckily, there was a car passby and help us to take group photo.

It's around 4.00 pm after 1 hour for our photography session, we proceed our journey to Paddy Gallery. It is PLS Kilang Beras Rakyat Sekinchan (Paddy processing factory for Sekinchan's population)

There are a paddy museum in the factory. Visitors are required to purchase ticket prior to enter. A video regarding the process of paddy manufacturing will be screened by the guide. After the video session, there will be slight introduction and Q&A session.

After our visit to paddy gallery, we proceed to Redang beach. Unfortunately, we have to walk for about 800 meters due to the long and congested street as we wanna catches up for the view of sunset from the beach.
