Kaoshiong, Taiwan (高雄之旅, 台湾)

It was second day of journey for our mission---> travel around Taiwan. From this days onward, we were traveling together with car rental's driver, Mr Chen. In general, he is a polite, kind, gentleman and decent man that we've traveled along together.

Our second day of journey was from Kenting (墾丁) to Kaoshiong (高雄). Kaoshiong is located at southern-western of Taiwan, which also second largest city after Taipei. You can get CHEAP, AFFORDABLE, FRESH and TASTY seafood here as this city is facing the Taiwan strait.

Somehow, there were not much places that we have visited in Kaoshiong as we were traveling all the way from Kenting. It was about 2 hours journey. In between of the journey, we do stopped by at a place named ChuHuo (出火特别景观区). It is a place where the gas emitted naturally to produce fire on the ground.

ChuHuo Station (出火特别景观区)

After our 2 hours of journey, we reached Gushan Ferry Pier (鼓山轮渡站)in Kaoshiong. This is a ferry port that connects the Gushan and Qijin district (旗津半岛) of Kaoshiong, Taiwan. Tourists used to take boat to reach the opposite island which is a popular attraction in Kaoshiong. Somehow, during our visit, there was long queue outside the ferry ports so we decided to drive to Qijin district.

Gushan Ferry Pier (鼓山轮渡站)

Before we leaved Gushan Ferry Pier, our tour guide has recommended us for some dessert which located near to Gushan Ferry Pier. Hai Zhi Bing (海之冰) is an ice shaved dessert shop. Although their dessert doesn't look luxury, but it worth the price and taste.

I personally felt that this was the awesome one from what we have chosen.

After craving for desserts, we leaved Gushan district and drove to Qijin island. Qijin island is a well known fish markets with fresh seafoods. It's good to have a local people to guide you so you won't miss out the best restaurant on the island.

We went to Wan Er Restaurant (萬二,旗津) for our lunch. Every dishes were around NTD100 to NTD200 (RM12 - RM24). There were free rice and water provided. Besides that, there were also beverages (mainly fruit juices) sold with the price of NTD25 per big bottle.

Lots of wishing hanging on the air.

Our next station was Pier-2 Art center (驳二艺术特区). This art center was a transformation from abandoned warehouse at which this place was initially an industrial city. There were a pair of sculpture as the symbolic of this art center. There are different painted sculpture in just few steps away along the street.
